Obama To Wait To Nominate New Attorney General Until After Election

Outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder will stay on the job… at least until after next month’s elections.

President Obama plans to wait until after next month’s midterm elections to name a nominee for Attorney General.

Eric Holder announced his resignation last month, but says he’ll stay on the job until a successor is confirmed.

A source close the process tells FOX News, Senate Democrats asked the White House to hold off on naming a successor so it would not get mired in election year politics.

The Senate returns a week after the election for a lame duck session. It’s unclear if a new Attorney General could be confirmed before a new Congress is sworn-in early next year.
