Hired! Where To Look For A Job
Food and beer — both industries are in the hiring mood this week — and there are some other opportunities you may want to check out too.
FOX Business Network’s Cheryl Casone reports in this week’s ”Hired!”:
Getting you Hired! I’m Cheryl Casone with the FOX Business Network.
Progressive Insurance offers insurance for autos, trucks, motorcycles and boats. They plan to hire 972 people by the end of the year. Analysts, call center folks, claims, and corporate jobs are open. They also offer aerobics, spinning, and yoga classes for employees.
Brass Tap is a fast growing craft beer and wine bar. In 2015 they plan to open more than 30 locations. They will hire about 25 people for each. That’s 750 jobs! General Managers, servers, and bartenders.
OrderUp is the opposite of the popular Seamless. The company offers drivers that will go to restaurants that don’t offer delivery, and come straight to your door. They’ve got 32 openings, but they also have 85 current employees, so that’s a huge jump. Customer service, marketing, sales, and of course drivers.
Finally, ever considered being a court reporter? 5,500 jobs in the next five years projected to be created. Depositions, closed captioning, medical transcriptions are common tasks.
