Stuart Varney, host of Varney & Company on Fox Business, joined Brian in studio to discuss the latest economy numbers. Varney told Brian that President Obama was factually right when he said the economy is creating new jobs and unemployment numbers are down, but Varney stressed that hourly wages have gone down while the majority of new jobs are part time.
Varney believes republicans winning the senate in 2014 could give the economy a boost because President Obama would be forced to negotiate with a republican controlled senate.

President Obama told 60 Minutes on Sunday that we are not at war with Islam. Eric Allen Bell, filmmaker, columnist and Counter Jihad activist, told Brian that he disagrees with President Obama , saying “Islam is at war with us and at war with the whole world and have been since their inception.” Bell explained to Brian after he read the Koran he “found out what Islam is” and he came to understand why people are alarmed over the prospect of having a “giant Islamic center in their backyard.” Bell went on to tell Brian that he believes up to half of Muslims world wide don’t realize what it means to be a Muslim. Bell told Brian he is looking to make a 90 min film called American Jihad, but fears it may not be safe for him to finish his documentary.
Chris Stirewalt, digital politics editor for Fox News Channel, joined Brian to discuss Leon Panetta telling 60 Minutes he tried to persuade President Obama to leave a residual force in Iraq but lost the debate. Brian and Stirewalt agree that Leon Panetta sounded like a republican in his 60 Min. interview. Stirewalt strongly disagreed with State Department spokesperson, Jen Psaki’s assessment that 10,000 U.S. troops would not have stopped ISIS from taking over Iraq.
