FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports:
Securing America.
(Sound of airstrikes)
U.S. airstrikes in Syria, as heard from the ground. The Pentagon says the targets are the ISIS terrorists, but also the al-Qaeda spin-off called Khorasan.
(General Mayville) “We’ve been watching this group closely for some time and we believe the Khorasan group is… was nearing the execution phase of an attack, either in Europe or the homeland.”
“Homeland,” meaning the United States.
Army Lieutenant General William Mayville explains…
(General Mayville) ”We know that the Khorasan group has attempted to recruit Westerners to serve as operatives, or to infiltrate back into their homelands.”
…infiltrate with explosives. General Mayville says Khorasan isn’t focused on Syria’s government or its people.
(General Mayville) “They are establishing roots in Syria, in order to advance attacks against the West and the homeland.”
So, Mayville says, more U.S. airstrikes can be expected.
