Vikings Ban Adrian Peterson Amid Child Abuse Case [VIDEO]
Initially reinstated, the Minnesota Vikings tell Adrian Peterson to stay away.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport reports:
The Minnesota Vikings call an audible in the face of public outrage, placing Adrian Peterson on an exempt list. The move effectively bans the star running back from all team activities while he faces a child abuse charge in Texas.
The Vikings benched Peterson for last Sunday’s game after his indictment, but reinstated him the next day.
An uproar quickly followed, with some sponsors suspending their deals with the team, or cutting ties with Peterson.
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton weighed in yesterday, saying Peterson should remain suspended while the case against him plays out.
