Calling it retaliation for U.S. airstrikes in Iraq, Sunni militants have apparently beheaded an American journalist.

FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington.

In a disturbing video, a dark figure speaks in a British accent and says they’re going to kill James Foley, who’s kneeling beside him, because of U.S. airstrikes.

He then beheads Foley, who is dressed in an orange jumpsuit. The ISIS militant then threatens to kill another American journalist, Steven Sotloff, who also appears in the video, also dressed in an orange jumpsuit.

U.S. officials tell the AP the video is authentic.
