A nationwide operation that targeted child sex traffickers was carried out over the last week.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers reports:

FBI Director James Comey put it bluntly:

(Comey) “ Our children are not for sale.”

The eighth “Operation Cross Country” was conducted in 106 cities and involved almost 400 law enforcement agencies.

168 children who were sold into the sex trade were rescued.

(Comey) “These are our kids, on our street corners, our truck stops, our motels, our casinos… These are America’s children.”

He had a message for the 281 pimps who were locked up in the bust.

(Comey) “You will never do this again…And two, to those who might be tempted to crush the souls of children, you do that and you’re risking your freedom and your life…”

Those rescued are being given support and counseling.
