President Obama Speaks On Iraq Violence [VIDEO]
President Obama says he will consider a range of options to help Iraq battle surging Islamic militants, but says military action alone won’t stabilize the country.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports from Washington:
The President will not be sending troops back into combat in Iraq, but, his national security team is weighing other military options to repel a fast-moving terror group making gains in Iraq.
(President Obama) “I do want to be clear though, this is not solely or even primarily a military challenge.”
President Obama calling this crisis a wake-up call for Iraq’s leaders to end sectarian differences…
(President Obama) “The United States will do our part, but understand that ultimately it’s up to the Iraqis as a sovereign nation to solve their problems.”
The President saying he won’t order military action without a plan from Iraqis to address political turmoil.
