Five US Troops Killed in Afghanistan [VIDEO]
Five American soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan, possibly in a friendly-fire incident.
FOX News Radio’s Emily Wither reports:
The five Americans, described as Special Operations forces, were taking part in a security operation when they came into contact with the Taliban in the south of the country. After calling in air support, it’s believed they were hit mistakenly by the B-1 bomber that had come to help.
Under current operational constraints put in place by outgoing Afghan President Hamid Karazi – air strikes like this are only called in when troops fear they’re about to be killed.
