House Panel Subpoenas Veterans Affairs Secretary

    Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki is facing a congressional subpoena over accusations of delayed treatment leading to deaths at a VA hospital in Phoenix. Secretary�Shinseki will also testify before the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee next week.

    FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

    House Veterans Affairs Committee Chair Jeff Miller wants answers about an alleged secret waiting list at that facility in Phoenix.

    (Miller) “The time for requests for�this matter is over.”

    Democrat Mike Michaud says the committee needs the VA to produce all relevant documents.

    (Michaud) “So we can be in a position to take action. We need to fix the problems, not only in Phoenix, but across the VA system.”

    Whistle-blowers say some 40 patients died waiting for treatment at the Phoenix VA center.
