Long time Hollywood star, Mickey Rooney has died at the age of 93.

FOX News Radio’s Hank Weinbloom looks back on the life of Mickey Rooney:

(“Babes in Arms”) “Good morning”//”It’s a lovely morning…”

Mickey Rooney was a Hollywood superstar when he teamed up with Judy Garland in the “Andy Hardy” movies.

(“Andy Hardy”) “Maybe love has found Andy Hardy.”

(“Babes in Arms”) “I said good morning.”

In many of the hardy films, the problem of the moment was solved by the cry, “Let’s put on a show!”

Mickey Rooney’s show business career spanned nearly a hundred years.

Born Joe Yule, Rooney’s career started before he could even walk — crawling on to the stage during his father’s vaudeville act.

He was one of the last surviving actors in silent movies. One of the last surviving stars of Hollywood in the 1930’s.

At age 18 he had his break-out role as a dramatic actor in “Boys Town”.

Rooney was also a bright light on Broadway.�One of his bigger hits…The musical “Sugar Babies” with Ann Miller.

He was married eight times. Ava Gardner was one of his wives.

To younger audiences, Rooney may be best known for “The Black Stallion” movie and TV series.

(The Black Stallion) “You know I spent all last night trying to catch this wild horse here… huh? All night I spent.”

Near the end of his life, Rooney lost much of his wealth, claiming he was scammed by a family member.

But back in his golden youth, in Hollywood’s golden age, Mickey Rooney wouldv’e just put on a show.
