Journalists Face Accommodation Problems In Sochi

    Sochi Olympics

Construction continues at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, despite the fact that the opening ceremony is Friday.

FOX News Radio’s Jessica Golloher has the details from Sochi:

    Light bulbs… broken. Curtains… not hung. Tap water… dirty. Desk… Non-existent.

These are just some of the problems facing thousands of journalists trying to check into their hotels here in the Black Sea resort town.

Cam Cole, with Post Media News in Canada, says his room had a shower but no curtain. So he did what anyone would do, he sat down in the bathtub, problem is…

(Cole) “It’s not anchored to the wall, mind you. As soon as you step into the tub, it rocks and came away from the wall, so it’s kind of a rocking tub.”

Cole says there have been a couple of close calls, but now that he’s been here six nights, he’s figured out how to get clean without an international incident.
