Boston Red Sox Win World Series

The Boston Red Sox win the 2013 World Series… beating the St. Louis Cardinals in six games.

FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter reports from Boston:

To think… a year ago this club finished in last place. But the Red Sox remade themselves with players who bought into a team-first formula.

(Farrell) “The thing that stands out more than anything is just their overall will to win. Uh, and that was no more evident than this entire postseason.”

Manager John Farrell after last night’s 6-to-1 victory over the Cardinals in Game Six of the World Series.

One player did stand out. David Ortiz batted .688 with two homers. He scored twice last night. And he was named the World Series Most Valuable Player.
