NJ Gov. Christie Drops Same-Sex Marriage Challenge
Same-sex couples have been exchanging vows since midnight on Monday in New Jersey and the Governor now says he won’t try to stop them.

Last month a lower-court ruled that New Jersey must recognize gay marriages starting today . Governor Chris Christie appealed the ruling and lost and at the stroke midnight.
(Marriage Ceremony) “With this ring.//With this ring.//I thee wed.//I thee wed.”
Same sex couples throughout the garden state began tying the knot and Governor Christie has also announced that he’s dropping an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, saying although he doesn’t agree with the ruling that he’ll enforce the new law.
