NYC Police Reportedly Identify Mother of ‘Baby Hope’
Twenty-two years after one of New York City’s most notorious unsolved murders, police have reportedly identified the victim’s mother.
FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers reports from New York:
“Baby Hope” was between three and five years-old when she was found murdered inside a cooler in the summer of 1991. No one was ever charged in her death, despite the fact the girl had not been reported missing by her family, she had been malnourished, and sexually abused. Now, police tell the New York Times they have identified the mother after getting a tip. No information has officially been released about it, but the New York Post reports the woman has been questioned about her daughter’s death. Police ramped up efforts to solve the case over the summer, canvassing areas where the girl was found, and offering a $12,000 reward for information.
