Salmonella Alert Issued For Some Chicken
Federal health officials issue a salmonella alert.
FOX News Radio’s Pam Puso reports:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says more than 275 people have been sickened after eating chicken packaged at three Foster Farm facilities in California. Officials say the outbreak has spread to 18 states, although most of the illnesses are in California. The outbreak hasn’t been linked to a specific product or production period. And a spokesman for Foster Farms says the infections were caused by eating chicken that was under-cooked or improperly handled. The company has not issued a recall.
