Is The Check In The Mail?
The U.S. Postal Service could be just days away from insolvency.
FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Washington DC:
Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe tells a Senate panel his agency’s cash balance is so low, it will only stretch about five days into next month. He says, they may need and emergency rate increase to stay in business. The USPS has been trying to cut costs by ending Saturday delivery and closing some low-traffic post offices. But, Congress has blocked those moves. Donahoe says without some kind of help, the Postal Service’s annual losses will get worse.
