Should You Use Cruise Control?

Drivers… keep your foot on the gas. A new study says it’s safer than the alternative.

Lots of drivers do it on long trips… Take their foot off gas pedal, flick the switch.

(Music: Florida Georgia Line) “And cruise…”

But a new study from France says cruise control can be dangerous. The study finds drivers tend to get drowsy and have slower reaction times when they use cruise control. Young drivers especially at risk. The study was only of 90 drivers and one researcher says cruise control is good at keeping people driving at the speed limit.
