CDC: More Students Using E-Cigarettes

Don’t let the “E” fool you. A new report on electronic cigarettes raises concern about rising use among middle and high school students.

FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports:

E-cigarettes may be marketed as a substitute for tobacco, but for kids they are, too often, an introduction to regular cigarettes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says use of the battery-powered, flavored-aerosol gadgets by middle school and high school students doubled between 2011 and last year, 10% of high schoolers have tried them. CDC says the substitutes still deliver highly-addictive nicotine, and too many kids who use e-cigarettes take up tobacco, too.
