BRIAN’S QUOTE OF THE DAY

Brian on Hamas in Egypt: “So now, we’re under the belief, erroneous as it is, that they won a fair election and we should support them.  We should never support them.  We don’t support Hamas, we don’t support al-Qaeda, we never would have supported Hitler in World War II even though he won a fair election. So the reaction should be we’ve got to support the military government… For the most part, I like the military in Egypt. That is the only way for it to work out.”

SHANNON BREAM, FOX News Correspondent, stopped by and talked to Brian about the New York Post article entitled “Strong is the New Skinny.” Bream loves the idea behind the article, and said that women should not feel any shame in how much they weigh. “Just own it,” Bream said.  Later, Bream challenged Brian to a push-up contest and then invited him out for a mani-pedi the next time she is in New York!

Grammy-winning recording artist RICKY SKAGGS joined Shannon and Brian in studio! Skaggs talked about his successful career, how he got into Bluegrass music, and how he believes his musical ability is a gift from God.  Skaggs said that even though he will perform in “beer joints” and bluegrass festivals more than churches, he finds that performing is a form of worship itself.  “Music, it’s a language of God that everybody will listen to,” Skaggs exclaimed.

To Brian’s surprise, Cheryl revealed that she had never seen the show!

FOX News Digital Politics Editor, CHRIS STIREWALT, talked to Brian about Edward Snowden.  “The President needs to get into the fight because if he doesn’t, this is going to go away,” Stirewalt exclaimed.  Later, the two discussed if it was appropriate for the President to be golfing while the Navy SEAL UBL raid commenced.  While Brian was disappointed with the President’s reactions, Stirewalt did not find it too worrisome: “Why is everybody mad that he golfs? He can golf! Golf is a wonderful game.”

HOUR THREE

DAN HENNINGER, Columnist for The Wall Street Journal, talked to Brian about the NYPD’s controversial Stop-and-Frisk program.  Henninger said he does not understand why certain NYC Democratic mayoral candidates want to wind down the highly-successful program.  “The city is just so pleasant now.  It’s a sea of tranquility… in no small part because of these effective policing strategies,” Henninger said.

FOX Sports co-President, ERIC SHANKS, talked to Brian about the newest addition to the FOX family, FOX Sports 1! Shanks said that on the brand new national channel’s first day tomorrow, there is going to be 16 hours of live sports between UFC fights, NASCAR, and the late night news show.
