The former gangster James “Whitey” Bulger is found guilty of all but a couple of the almost three dozen murder, racketeering and conspiracy charges against him, meaning he’ll die in prison.

Bulger grew through the ranks from petty crimes on the streets of south Boston to becoming one of America’s Most Wanted after he fled Boston in the mid-1990’s. Later to be captured in 2011 to face his victims and their families. The 83-year-old Bulger called the charges against him a sham and plead not guilty.

Though a jury of his peers in south Boston didn’t buy it. Sentencing is set for November.
