New DNA Evidence in Boston Strangler Case
The Boston Strangler meets modern technology. DNA evidence is shedding some new light on the case.

Investigators in Boston say they may have solved one of the nations most notorious serial killings.
(Coakley) “This case involved a total of 11 women who were raped and strangled brutally between 1962 and 1964.”

The crimes terrorized New England and were pinned on Albert DeSalvo, who police say confessed to the crimes, but who was never convicted.
There’s still disagreement about whether he committed all the murders, but in the case of 19-year-old Mary Sullivan, who was killed in her Beacon Hill apartment, investigators tell us new technology and DNA evidence is showing them that the Boston Strangler is their man. DeSalvo later killed while in prison on other charges.
