Sky High Airline Fees
Those fees airlines use to pad their bottom line are hitting a new record.
FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo reports:
Airlines in the U.S. bagging more than $6 billion in luggage and reservation change fees last year, that’s the highest amount since they first started charging for checked suitcases back in 2008. For luggage fees alone, the annual jump: 3.8%. Those charges along with others, such as for early boarding or picking better seats, have helped the industry return to profitability.
No relief in sight for flyers with American, Delta, United and US Airways all recently raising ticket change fees to $200 from $150.
