People who survive skin cancer are more likely to have another cancer diagnosis later in life.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
New research finds skin cancer survivors have a higher risk of getting another form of cancer. A Harvard study analyzed data from 150,000 people over 20 years and showed women with non-melanoma skin cancers were 26% more likely to later develop another form of cancer than those without the disease. Men showed a 15% increase.
Experts say the findings aren’t enough to change cancer screening guidelines.
