Congress Eyes Revamped Cybersecurity Bill

After failing to sure up long-outdated laws to protect cybersecurity in the United States, Congress is eyeing a revamped version of the bill.

FOX’s Catherine Herridge has details from Washington:

The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Republican Mike Rogers, says Congress must act now on cyber laws because the Chinese government is robbing U.S. businesses of ideas every day.

(Rep. Rogers) “It’s costing us jobs, it’s costing us money and it’s taking away from our economic prosperity for the future.  And it’s something we’ve got to get a handle on today.”

Cybersecurity legislation failed last year, but the revamped House bill, backed by Congressman Rogers and his ranking member of the Intelligence Committee, has more built-in protections, which may satisfy the concerns of privacy groups.
