You’ve heard about texting and driving… but what about texting and flying? The government is looking into a case involving a potentially distracted pilot.
FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports:
All four people aboard a medical helicopter died when it crashed near Mosby, Missouri in 2011.
Documents show the pilot exchanged 20 texts with someone over a span of less than two hours before the crash. And, he may not have noticed the chopper was low on fuel before taking off.
One investigator saying:
(Investigator) “There was no ground fire. The fuel system was intact, and a test of the fuel system verified the accuracy of the system and less than one liter of fuel was found in the fuel system.”
The crash occurred a little over a mile from where the pilot hoped to refuel.
