Housecall For Health: Adult ADHD

Housecall

According to new research, a serious mental health issue reaches beyond childhood into adulthood.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

Mental health experts say it’s time to start recognizing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a serious health problem for adults.

Research published in the Journal Pediatrics finds ADHD has a more lasting impression than previously thought. Nearly a third of children diagnosed with ADHD continue to suffer from the disorder through adulthood.

Data shows the risk of being diagnosed with other psychiatric disorders later in life is much higher.
