FAA Grounds 787 Dreamliners

The Federal Aviation Administration is grounding Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner jets and Europe and some other countries are following suit.

FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Washington:

Japan’s two major airlines grounded their Dreamliners following another incident with an on-board battery this week.

Now here in the U.S., the FAA says that Boeing must prove the batteries on the plane are safe before the planes may fly over American skies again.

And the FAA move has prompted regulators in Europe, Qatar and India to park their airlines’ Dreamliners.

And Poland’s Lot Airways says it wants compensation from Boeing for the grounding of its two 787’s.
