Housecall For Health: Healthy Snacks Limited In Schools

According to a new study, healthy snacks can be hard to come by for kids in school.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

Childhood obesity is a hot topic, but some kids still don’t have access to healthy snacks at school. Research from the CDC finds nearly 75% of states sell a high amount of low-nutrient, high-calorie snacks like candy and chips. And most middle schools and high schools don’t make fruits and vegetables available any other time of day besides lunch. Health officials say states need tighter standards on snacks to battle adolescent obesity.
