ND Town Wiped Off the Map by Wildfire

    A North Dakota town has been virtually wiped off the map by Mother Nature.

    FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig has details:

    Bucyrus is a small town with a small population.

    (Young) “Twenty-seven, according to the 2010 Census.”

    Or at least it WAS a small town.

    (Young) “Bucyrus was a total loss.”

    …In a wildfire, Wednesday, according to Donny Young, chief of the neighboring Scranton Police Department.  The residents evacuating to nearby Hettinger, but not completely out of danger.

    (Young) “The fire is about five miles west of Hettinger.”

    …With:

    (Young) “A heavy wind down here.”

    …Gusting up to 50mph, though Young says firefighters believe they have control of the blaze.  There is good news:

    (Young) “There were no major injuries.”

    As for rebuilding:

    (Young) “It’s too early yet to tell.”
