D.C. Sniper: “I am Sorry.”

One of the snipers who terrorized the Washington, D.C. area 10 years ago this month says he now regrets his role in the attacks.

FOX News Radio’s Mike Majchrowitz reports from Washington:

(Malvo) “I am sorry.”

Lee Boyd Malvo, in a telephone interview with the Washington Post from Red Onion State Penitentiary in Virginia.  Malvo was a teenager 10 years ago when he partnered with John Allen Mohammed on a multi-state killing spree.  Thirteen people shot, 10 killed in and around Washington; the pair also linked to multiple other shootings around the country.  Malvo now says he was a monster.

(Malvo) “I mean, that is what a monster is.  I was a ghoul, I was a thief.  I stole people’s lives.”

As for his victims and their families, Malvo urged them not to let his actions victimize them for the rest of their lives.  Mohammed was executed in 2009.  Malvo is serving multiple life sentences.
