Hero Parent Stops Oregon School Shooter

A sixteen-year-old with a shotgun stormed a Bend, Oregon elementary school Thursday afternoon and killed three children aged five, eight and eleven and a teacher before he was himself killed by an armed bystander who happened to be a parent with two children at the school. Police were called to Silver Rail Elementary School around one o’clock yesterday over a shooting in the school parking lot, but when they arrived about two minutes later the incident was already over. Law enforcement said the parent who killed the teen boy “definitely prevented more deaths.”

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers speaks with Bill Daly, Former FBI Investigator and Counterintelligence Operator, who shares what we know about this latest school shooting and discusses some of the newest strategies in school security that are being implemented.
