Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) spoke to Brian Kilmeade about what the first priority will be for President-Elect Donald Trump and the Republican majority in 2025. Ernst does not think there will be a hard and fast first priority but a hard and fast reset of America from both President Trump and Congress. On President Trump’s first 100 days, Ernst says Trump will make sure many his policies and agenda are implemented as quickly as possible and to throw out any talk about the first 100 days because she anticipates Trump wants to see as much of his agenda enacted within at least the first couple of weeks. Ernst boils down the reason Kamala Harris lost the election and democrats lost control of the Senate to bad policy. Ernst believes it came down to the economy, border, immigration and embracing the crazy ideologies that most Americans are against. Ernst, also discussed running to be Chairwoman of the Republican Conference, the #3 position within the Republican leadership, and where she stands on who she is going to vote for to be the Senate Majority Leader. Ernst is still debating on who she will vote for on Wednesday and feels each of the candidates, Senators Rick Scott, John Cornyn and John Thune, brings something unique to the table.
