Co-host of “The Big Money Show” on Fox Business Taylor Riggs joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to explain why California’s $20/hour minimum wage law is not a model the rest of the country should follow.

“Let’s have the competitive market come in and let’s have a market rate. Right? Let’s set let’s have the market set the rate for wages. We don’t need big government, we don’t need Gavin Newsom, we don’t need millionaires in government telling us what the market rate should be. Let’s have a franchise owner at Arby’s set the market rate. And guess what? If the guy next door is paying more, I guarantee you that the free market in that Arby’s will then have to raise the rate. Because if I’m an employee at Arby’s and the guy next door is giving me $17 now versus 16, I’m going to go over there. The market fixes itself and works. But in California and a lot of this country, we don’t believe in the free market to decide. We believe in Gavin Newsom in Sacramento telling us how to live. And it won’t work. And it’s unfortunate.”
