A Veteran’s Story Of Liberating Dachau Concentration Camp

In her Fox Nation special, The Final Journey of the Greatest Generation,’ Martha took a deep dive into the tales of many WWII heroes like Lockered “Bud” Gahs, who was a part of the esteemed 42nd Infantry Division that played a large role in liberating the Dachau Concentration Camp. When Martha traveled back to Normandy, France last week to honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day, she had the opportunity to reconnect with Bud & hear more of his story.

Live from Normandy, Bud recounts the shock of discovering concentration camps, how it feels to be surrounded by fellow veterans in such a meaningful place, and why he believes the suffering endured and sacrifices made during WWII should be a more important teaching point for younger generations.
