NY Woman Jailed After Faking Cancer To Get Dream Wedding

A New York woman is behind bars, accused of faking cancer in a scam to get her dream wedding.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony has the story:

Jessica Vega, indicted in Orange County, New York, accused of pretending she had leukemia in a scheme to have a lavish wedding and a honeymoon in Aruba in 2010.  A newspaper ran her story about her dying wish to for a wedding, and then, the indictment says, the 25-year-old accepted thousands of dollars in donated goods and services.

Four months later, her husband came forward and said Vega was faking the cancer, and that led to their divorce.  The couple has two children.  He’s now in Virginia, she’s in jail after pleading not guilty.
