Miami Marlins Manager Suspended Over Pro-Castro Comments

    He said he loves and respects Fidel Castro and the firestorm that those comments have created in Miami has the Marlins baseball team benching manager Ozzie Guillen.

    FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:

    Ozzie Guillen is suspended for five games for his recent comments about Fidel Castro. Time Magazine reporting that Guillen, during an interview, said that he loves and respects the retired Cuban leader.

    Those words leading to backlash among Miami’s Latin community, but Guillen, during a press conference, says that what he really told Time Magazine about Castro while speaking in Spanish was:

    (Guillen) “I cannot believe somebody hurt so many people over the years is still alive.”

    Guillen apologizing, and saying he’s embarrassed for the error. His suspension takes effect immediately.
