Connecticut On Track To Abolish Death Penalty

Connecticut may not put any more killers on death row.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:

    Saying the death penalty is…

(Williams) “Discriminatory. In terms of economics, in terms of race.”

Democrat Don Williams and the State Senate voted to switch to life without parole. The House is expected to follow suit, and Connecticut’s Governor says he’ll sign the bill to become the fifth state in five years to abolish the death penalty. But critics argue…

(Critic) “It is really the only true just punishment for for certain heinous and depraved murders.”

Like the 2007 massacre of William Petit’s wife and two daughters. Their two killers were condemned, and could still be executed. Prior death sentences would be grandfathered in.
