Housecall for Health: Sushi Salmonella Outbreak

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration reports a specific food has caused the salmonella outbreak that has affected residents in 19 states.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon has details in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

A salmonella outbreak in 19 states has left 90 people sick, and the FDA says it’s linked to restaurant sushi.  Most of the cases are in eastern states, but stretch as far west as Texas.

Seven people have been hospitalized in what the agency is calling an “ongoing and rapidly expanding” health scare.  Menu items, suppliers and ingredients from suspected restaurants are currently being investigated.
