5 People – Including 4 Kids – Found Dead in AR Duplex
Police say there are no signs of foul play in the death of five people, found in an Arkansas duplex. Someone had reported smelling smoke, apparently from a kitchen fire, but it was a maintenance man – not firefighters – who found the bodies.
FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper has more:
Found dead: one adult and four children. Someone in Jacksonville, Arkansas called the fire department, saying they smelled smoke. The fire chief says when there was no answer at the door, thermal imaging equipment was used and no signs of a fire were detected, so they left.
An hour later, a maintenance worker went into the home and made the gruesome discovery. The fire chief says there was no fire when they returned to the scene, but there were signs that one had burned overnight.
The cause of death, not yet known as police investigate.
