Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shed light on why federal investigators are now probing New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ 2021 campaign over alleged collusion with the Turkish government.

“So you’ve got people who are clearly agents of Turkey. And in fact, several of them who are known to have bundled donations to the Adams campaign have recently, within the last year or two, in other words since he’s been elected, run out and gotten themselves recognized. They filed as agents with DOJ, they filed as agents of Turkey. They had not filed when they were donating to his campaign. So what does that mean? They’re acting as agents of Turkey and they’re undeclared. That makes them agents of the nation of Turkey. Well, if Adams knows that and he’s taking money from them, he is conspiring with agents of a foreign power. And that is the FARA charge, the Foreign Agent Registration Act. He will have conspired to violate that along with these Turkish people. And he also will have violated a federal law regarding foreign governments donating to American electoral campaigns. You’re not allowed to do that as a foreign government. Foreign nationals can’t contribute. if he knowingly was taking money from them as well, there’s another charge. So the feds are not bringing all of this work, they’re not going getting search warrants, have an open grand jury, which they do by the way, Brianna Suggs has been subpoenaed into a grand jury, she’s about testify this week, she may take the Fifth, in which case they’re going to say, we’re going to give you immunity, in which case you can’t take the Fifth. So, you know, they’re going to box her in. But the feds are not going through all of these hoops to try to get 25-year old Brianna Suggs. They have bigger fish in mind here.”

Paul and Jimmy also talk about the surprising number of trips Adams has taken to Turkey throughout his career. Listen to the podcast to hear what else he had to say!
