Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share his thoughts on all of the chaos on Capitol Hill surrounding Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz’s efforts to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
“Whether it’s the guy pulling the fire alarm to scuttle the funding of the national government or the entire Democratic caucus in lockstep with Matt Gaetz, who’s on a Kamikaze mission to destroy his party. I don’t understand what’s happened here, except it’s a moment of chaos. And if McCarthy made one misstep, it was when he came in, he said, I’m going to treat Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic leader, the way I wasn’t treated by Nancy Pelosi. I’m going to consider him an equal. Big mistake. Nancy Pelosi was a killer and from one Italian to another, she was willing to break out the brass knuckles and bend the oozy if need be. And she held that caucus together and she would kill you and defund your campaign if you crossed her. It’s how you maintain power. It’s how you move your agenda forward. McCarthy is far too yielding, not only to his own caucus, but to Democrats. Today, he might pay a heavy toll.”
