North Carolina Republican Congressman and co-chair of the House GOP Doctors Caucus Greg Murphy joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain why he believes any doctor who performs sex reassignment surgery on a minor is violating their Hippocratic Oath.
“First of all and I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, any physician who does that on a child, unless it’s a congenital anomalies, some chemical disorder, which, you know, as a urologist, there’s a four-inch thick book called Intersex about these things. But any physician who does this is absolutely violating their oath as a physician, number one and, two, committing malpractice. Any parent that allows their child before the age of reason, before 18 really should be even longer, to do something like this is child abuse. It’s point blank child abuse. And, you know, what were we supposed to do with girls who are tomboys growing up? So they like playing softball with boys and doing other stuff. Do you slap, you know, external male genitalia on somebody or do you do something else and do double mastectomies on them? It is absolutely child abuse.”
