Florida Republican Congresswoman Kat Cammack joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give an update on the recovery efforts in her district after Hurricane Idalia caused significant damage in the Sunshine State.

“This is really where you see Ron DeSantis at his best. He has been incredibly focused, disciplined. It has been, without question, a hey, we need this here, and it’s done. He has a fantastic team around him. Kevin Guthrie, the Florida Emergency Management director, he and I have talked every single day and any need has been met. And that is really remarkable when you’re dealing with such a big loss. I mean, it’s not like one area got hit. It was, just in my district alone, six counties. So you’re looking at not just the coast, but further inland. And it’s everything from the power lines. And, you know, we had at one point, several hundred thousands of people without power, and it was restored all within a week. You’ve got, of course, major structural damages and then bringing in places for people to take a shower, have a hot meal, the medical attention, the fuel logistics, everything from clearing the roads, to getting the power back on. The state of Florida has been phenomenal and Ron has been really, really focused. And I appreciate that about him and very communicative about what they’re doing and where they’re going and what needs are outstanding. And it’s not every day that you get a very good federal, state dynamic. FEMA, the regional people who have been boots on the ground have been good. Our local county folks have been great. But like I said, it’s really the locals. The locals have stepped up in ways that we just you don’t really see very often. And I thinkĀ  that right there is America in a nutshell.”

Plus, Rep. Cammack and Jimmy talk about how the Left creates pretend problems in order to make it seem like things in America are worse than what reality actually is. Listen to the podcast to hear what else she had to say!
