$1M Lotto Winner Still Collecting Food Stamps… Until Now

A Michigan woman who won $1 million in the lottery is no longer allowed to be on welfare.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony has details:

Amanda Clayton won a million dollars in September but she’s still been getting 200 bucks a month in food stamps until now.

Michigan’s kicked her out of the program:

(Agema)”If you’re above a certain asset limit, you shouldn’t be on welfare.”

Republican state lawmaker Dave Agema supports pending legislation that would factor lump sum lottery payments into determining eligibility.

Part of a welfare restriction bill some Democrats say went too far.

Clayton has two homes now, but no income. Defending why she was still collecting.

A Michigan man won two million in the lottery last year and kept taking food stamps too, defiantly:

(Lotto Winner, Leroy Fick)”Trying to make me feel bad, you aren’t gonna do it.”
