NC Soldier Dies Trying to Save Two Kids From House Fire
A house fire near Hope Mills, North Carolina takes the life of a soldier and his two daughters.
Mark Mueller, with FOX News Radio affiliate WRDU reports from Raleigh, North Carolina:
A Special Forces soldier and his two young daughters died after he tried to rescue them from his burning home near Fort Bragg.
Debbie Tanna with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office saying the husband and wife jumped out a window.
(Tanna) “He ran back inside with a blanket to try to rescue the daughters. The mother ran next door to call 911 to get help. When she returned, she thought she was going to find her husband and two daughters outside, but they never made it outside. They perished inside the home.”
The victims have been identified as 36-year-old Edward Cantrell and his daughters Isabella and Natalia who were six and four-years-old.
