Housecall for Health: Worrying About Simple Symptoms
Americans worry too much about their health, often mistaking single simple symptoms for things that are far more serious. Having just one symptom is nothing to worry about, and can usually be treated easily.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
When your health is on your mind, some symptoms may cause unnecessary alarm. According to top medical experts, headaches alone are not a symptom of a brain tumor and can be solved with an over-the-counter pain reliever.
If you’re under age 45 and having chest pain, it is more likely a muscle strain than a heart attack. But if it lasts more than five minutes, call 911.
And a new mole is no reason to panic about skin cancer, but keep an eye on it and tell your dermatologist.
