Novartis Recalls Excedrin, NoDoz, Bufferin, Gas-X
A drug maker is pulling some popular over-the-counter medicines off the shelves, recalling them because the pill on the box might not be the pill in the bottle.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Lacerra has details:
Novartis, recalling some bottles of Excedrin, NoDoz, Bufferin and Gas-X over concerns the bottles could contain stray pills from other medicines, or chipped or broken tablets. The Swiss drug maker saying it implemented the recall voluntarily and is working with the FDA. They say they became aware of the problem during an internal review.
The news coming after Novartis’ recent decision to suspend production at its Lincoln, Nebraska plant for maintenance and other improvements.
