What Was The War In Afghanistan?

This week, former United States Army Four-Star General, General David Perkins joins Abby in the classroom to help explain the war in Afghanistan.

General Perkins reflects on how the terrorist attacks on 9/11 were the leading catalyst for the war in Afghanistan, and how the threat of the Taliban prevails to this day. He also addresses the impact of the assassination of Osama Bin Laden on the war. Later, General Perkins reflects on this past year in Afghanistan following the U.S. withdrawal.
