Tempted to buy that cute little kitten in the window of a pet store? You may want to think twice especially if you have other allergies, according to a study in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. If you’ve never had a cat before getting one as an adult doubles your risk of developing an immune reaction to it. Symptoms include wheezing, sneezing, and itchy eyes. Kids who have cats are less likely to develop a cat allergy.
